14 Night Cruise sailing from Ft Lauderdale roundtrip aboard Nieuw Statendam.

Honoring our past while looking to the future, Nieuw Statendam is the sixth ship in Holland America Line’s history to bear the name “Statendam.” Launching in December 2018, Nieuw Statendam carries forward the nautical heritage, gracious service and classic style for which Holland America Line is known — while setting a new standard for 21st-century elegance. Nieuw Statendam is sister ship to Koningsdam and is the second of our Pinnacle-class ships.

    Highlights of this cruise:

    Ft Lauderdale
Port Everglades, the port for Fort Lauderdale is the world's premier cruise port with more home-ported ships and cruise lines than any other port in the world.

The City of Fort Lauderdale is famous for its boats and more than seven miles of sparkling beaches. The City’s award-winning wavewall and signature beachfront promenade highlight Fort Lauderdale’s world famous coastline. It features array of shops, restaurants, sidewalk cafes and entertainment venues.

Beachgoers can participate in a wide range of activities from boating, wind surfing, jet skiing and volleyball to snorkeling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing and rollerblading.

    Half Moon Cay
Half Moon Cay (also known as Little San Salvador Island) is one of about 700 islands that make up the archipelago of the Bahamas. It is located roughly halfway between Eleuthera and Cat Island. It is a private island, owned by Holland America Line, a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & PLC, which uses it as a one-day stop (port of call) for the cruise ships it operates in the region.

Activities offered on the island include swimming, sunning, scuba diving, jet-skiing, cycling, and snorkeling. Deep-sea fishing, parasailing, glass-bottom boat rides, and nature walks also are available. A variety of water toys are available for rent, including Hobie catamarans, Sunfish sailboats, windsurfing sailboards, and kayaks. There are volleyball and basketball courts, horseshoes, shuffleboard, a fitness trail with exercise stations, horseback riding, and nature trails for hiking.

    San Juan
San Juan is a major port and tourist resort of the West Indies and is the oldest city under the U.S flag. The metropolitan area known as San Juan has 3 distinct areas: Old San Juan, the New San Juan, and other outlying communities, the most important: Río Piedras, Hato Rey, Puerta de Tierra, and Santurce. The old part of San Juan was founded in 1521 and is now officially declared a National Historic Zone. Many 16th- and 17th-century buildings have been restored and refurbished in the original Spanish style. This part of the city boasts many shops, restaurants, art galleries and museums.

New San Juan is connected to the old town by a narrow neck of land, and modern architecture has flourished in recent years. In the sophisticated areas of Condado and Isla Verde, are glittering hotels; flashy, Las Vegas-style shows, casinos and discos. The Botanical Gardens are worth visiting. A bay cruise is also available, which offers excellent views of the city. El Yunque, east of the capital, is a 28,000-acre rainforest (with over 240 species of trees) and bird sanctuary. It is the only tropical rainforest in the US National Forest System and is located in the Luquillo Mountains.

    St Thomas
St. Thomas is one of the most beautiful harbors in the world and the most visited port in the Caribbean. Charlotte Amalie, the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands offers elegant dining, exciting nightlife, and world-class duty-free shopping. The city's reputation as the shopping mecca of the Caribbean draws visitors from all over the region and around the world. The island architecture is an eclectic mix of Spanish patios, French iron gates and grillwork, Dutch doors, and Danish rooftops.

St. Thomas also provides natural wonders such as the beautiful Magens Bay and stunning views of the Caribbean from 1,500 feet above sea level. Drake's Seat is particularly famous for its vistas. Crystalline white sand and calm turquoise waters can be found make its beaches amongst the most beautiful in the world. Sports and activities are abundant on St. Thomas. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the Mahogany Run course. St. Thomas is also well known for its world-class yachting and sportfishing.

    Ocho Rios
Ocho Rios is one of the pleasure capitals of Jamaica, it offers a gateway to fabulous sightseeing, excellent shopping and a good look into the Jamaican culture. Ocho Rios lies roughly 108km east of Montego Bay. It was once a sleepy fishing village, and although there are now resort facilities, international hotels and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, the town has retained the sleepy atmosphere of small-town Jamaica.

There are six shopping plazas to appease even the most devoted shopper and the Crafts Market is situated in the downtown area and is easy walking distance from the ship. The main flea market (Ocean Village), which sells everything under the sun, is in the center of Ocho Rios.

One of Jamaica's most wonderful sights is Dunn's River Falls. Ocho Rios also has a wonderful beach for you to enjoy. At the Shaw Park Botanical Gardens you’ll see a wide variety of exotic flora and canoeing up White River by candlelight to the beat of drums is a highlight.

    Cozumel
Cozumel (Mayan: Island of the Swallows) is an island in the Caribbean Sea off the eastern coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. The main town on the island is San Miguel where most of the population reside.
The choice of activities are boundless in Cozumel, golden beaches, turquoise waters, friendly people, festivals, scattered Maya ruins, great restaurants, duty-free stores, diving, golfing and more. Famous all over the world for its coral reefs, there are plenty of water sports such as diving, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and more. The center of the island is covered by jungle and swampy lagoons. Chankanaab National Park is a Cozumel icon located at the southern tip of the island. It includes Punta Celarain and its historical lighthouse, as well as the Colombia Lagoon, a shelter for many of the island's endemic species.
