11 Night cruise sailing from Copenhagen to Stockholm aboard Azamara Quest.

Find out why Copenhagen ranks as one of the world’s happiest cities. Arrive a few days early to explore its medieval city core and savor a Smørrebrød (traditional open-face sandwich) along with some delicious Danish pastries.

In Gdansk, we spend a night and stay late the next day, so you’ll have lots of time to stroll 1,000-year-old streets and discover its mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. You will also get a chance to gaze in amazement at St. Mary’s Basilica, an imposing church that took 159 years to build and holds up to 25,000 people.

After the beautiful Baltic ports of Klaipeda, Lithuania, and Riga, Latvia, spend a luxurious day at sea and recharge for three days of immersive discovery in St. Petersburg. Tour golden domed churches, opulent palaces, and the treasures of The Hermitage, or take in a classic ballet performance.

In Helsinki, venture to the famous Ateneum Art Museum, Esplanade Park, and Suomenlinna Sea Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then it’s on to Tallinn, Estonia before the voyage concludes in Stockholm, home to expansive green space, Scandinavian architecture, and enchanting palaces. It’s the perfect city to relax, explore, and stay a few extra days.

    Highlights of this cruise:

    Copenhagen, Denmark
Fairy-tale architecture and avant-garde modern designs create an enchanting atmosphere in Scandinavia's largest city. Copenhagen's quality of life is exceptional, with countless green spaces and bicycle paths—offering you every opportunity to take in the culture and cuisine of the City of Spires.

    Gdansk, Poland
The 1,000-year-old port city of Gdańsk was mostly destroyed during WWII, but there are still many impressive sights. Wander through cobblestone streets and mazes of red-brick buildings to discover the Upland Gate, St. Mary’s Church, the medieval Gdańsk Crane, the Great Arsenal, and the Amber Museum and National Museum. Then relax at a beer garden and take in the beautiful coastline.

    Klaipeda, Lithuania
Walk the cobblestoned Old Town in Klaipėda and you’ll see its German heritage in the architecture, beginning at Theatre Square where Hitler once spoke. The old warehouses by the Dane River are now pubs and restaurants; try a traditional lunch of fish stew with black bread. Other sites to see include Memelburg Castle, the Ethnographic Fisherman’s Farmstead, and the quaint village of Palanga.

    Riga, Latvia
Riga’s Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site and its winding, wobbly lanes are beautiful to wander through. The Museum of the Occupation is fascinating, haunting in parts. The restored 18th-century National Opera House is worthy of a whole evening. The new National Library is a huge glass and steel mountain. And don’t miss an organ recital in The Dome - the organ one of the largest in Europe.

    St. Petersburg, Russia
Affectionately referred to as the Venice of the North, St. Petersburg is home to an incredibly diverse array of architecture. From golden domed churches to opulent palaces, St. Petersburg is certain to leave you in awe. In particular, don’t miss the Winter Palace, located within the Hermitage complex, one of the world’s largest museums and home to more three million works of art and artifacts!

    Helsinki, Finland
Helsinki is a successful blend of traditional and modern architecture and design, interwoven with the beauty of nature, and a few quirky, purely Finnish touches—such as a church built inside a giant chunk of granite. Popular attractions include the Ateneum Art Museum, Esplanade Park, Design District Helsinki, Market Square, and Suomenlinna Sea Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Tallinn, Estonia
Embrace the wonderfully independent spirit of Tallinn. During your visit, take a walk up Toompea hill for a lovely view of Tallinn’s diverse skyline and architecture. Then, visit St. Olav’s Church, believed to have been the world’s tallest building...in 1625. From here, you’re not far from St. Catherine’s Passage, where you’ll discover many delightful craft workshops to explore.

    Stockholm, Sweden
Experience the best of northern charm in Stockholm. A perfect balance of green space, Scandinavian architecture, and enchanting palaces, Stockholm is the perfect city to relax and explore. Start in Gamla Stan—the city’s oldest section—for a glimpse at how life used to be. Then, make your way to SoFo for delicious meals and specialty shopping. And don’t forget to check out the ABBA Museum!
