14 Night cruise departing roundtrip from Ushuaia onboard Crystal Endeavor.

Venture beyond 66.5º south to the remote reaches of Earth and explore fascinating wilderness in search of whales, penguins and seals. See extraordinary ice formations – tabular bergs and towering cathedrals – and follow the paths of great explorers.

    Highlights of this cruise:

    USHUAIA, ARGENTINA
    THE WORLD'S SOUTHERNMOST TOWN
Ushuaia lies on the triangular-shaped island of Tierra del Fuego. While Ferdinand Magellan was exploring the straits between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in 1520, he was amazed by the smoke and fires which seemed to appear at every turn. These fires, kept continuously alight by the Yaghan and Ona Indians, became the inspiration for the name "Tierra del Fuego," Land of Fire.

    ANTARCTIC PENINSULA EXPEDITION, ANTARCTICA
    Horseshoe-Island-Marguerite-hero
Known as O’Higgins Land in Chile, Graham Land in Great Britain, Tierra de San Martin in Argentina, and originally as the Palmer Peninsula in the US, the Antarctic Peninsula belongs to no one and is cherished by all. This is where humpback whales feed on krill before migrating north, where penguins breed and where seals frolic. Home to petrels and terns, gulls and skuas, all thrive amidst the otherworldly grandeur of ice mountains and glaciers, rocky cliffs and glistening inlets.

    LEMAIRE CHANNEL EXPEDITION, ANTARCTICA
    Petermann-Island-Lemaire-Channel-Antarctica-hero
    THE KODAK GAP
Famous for its majestic landscapes, this narrow passage (only 5,249 feet wide!) between the mountains of Booth Island and the Antarctic Peninsula is so photogenic it is nicknamed the Kodak Gap. Here, snow-capped peaks and icebergs soar toward the heavens, their mirror images reflected in the still waters below to create breathtaking scenery. The channel is a haven for Weddell, crabeater and elephant seals, many making their home on Petermann Island where we hope to land, conditions allowing.

    PARADISE BAY EXPEDITION, ANTARCTICA
    Neko-Harbor-Paradise-Bay-Antarctica-hero
    PARADISE ON ICE
Pristine and picturesque, this harbor on the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula is famous for its awe-inspiring icebergs, glaciated mountains and gentoo penguins. Here we may launch Zodiac adventures in search of seals, penguins diving off ice floes and maybe even whales. There are two scientific research stations here, Argentina’s Almirante Brown Antarctic Base, and Chile’s González Videla Antarctic Base, the latter a designated Historic Site.

    ANTARCTIC PENINSULA EXPEDITION, ANTARCTICA

    SNOW-CAPPED WILDLIFE HAVEN
Just northwest of the Antarctic Peninsula, the icebergs and snow-capped mountains of South Shetland volcanic archipelago are a mesmerizing site. A haven for wildlife, colonies of chinstrap, gentoo and Adélie penguins make their home here, and Antarctic fur seals and Southern elephant seals command the beaches. Seabirds are everywhere, including Antarctic terns and giant petrels.
