Bingen am Rhein is a town in the Mainz-Bingen district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Bingen is the gateway to the Unesco World Heritage of the Upper-Middle Rhine Valley. The town is blessed by a rich cultural heritage: Hildegard von Bingen, Stefan George, the Bingen surgical instruments from the days of the Romans. Bingen also hosts many cultural events, concerts and open-air theatre.
