Picton is a town in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. It is near the head of Queen Charlotte Sound near the north-east corner of the South Island. Picton is the gateway to the attractions of Marlborough Sounds which is popular with outdoor and adventure lovers.
The town of Picton offers a relaxed setting with beautiful beaches, easy bush walks and a lovely climate. Along the seafront there are many cafes, restaurants and galleries to visit. The floating maritime museum and aquarium is also worth a look. For fit and active types, the Queen Charlotte track is a local attraction which can be seen on foot or mountain bike.
