Port-Vendres is a commune of the Pyrénées-Orientales département, in France. It is situated near the Spanish border on the cote Vermeille in south west France. Port-Vendres is both a deep-water commercial port and fishing and yachting harbour open all year round. With its creek beaches, it offers every seaside leisure facility.

Attractions in Port-Vendres include its 13th century castle, nestled between the mountains and the sea, the old town, the beach and the galleries. Set on the magnificent rocky slopes overlooking Port-Vendres are the prestigious vineyards of Banyuls, which also produce the Collioure appelation. Port Vendres is also renowned for its numerous fish and sea food restaurants. You can watch the fishing boats arriving with their daily catch. It is also a major marina in the region.
