capital cities of Europe are on the Mediterranean Sea, so relaxing on a cruise is a great way to see them all. Cruise at night, and
visit a new port each day.

Types of cruises

Europe cruising can offer many different varieties of sailings, from ocean voyages to river cruising, which give you very different
experiences. To help you choose the correct cruise and itinerary for you, it is important to understand the differences.

Ocean cruise ships are larger, can cover more territory and offer a wider range of entertainment and onboard activities. The
experience on a large cruise ship is as much about the ship experience as the places you visit. Large cruise lines offer unrivalled
service, food and most have child facilities available. There will never be a dull moment, from lounging by the pool to playing sports
or having a spa treatment. In the evenings there are several choices of dining, from fine dining to casual, your options are endless.
Ocean cruises offer night entertainment, from stand-up comedy to Broadway shows.

River cruising offers an entirely different experience. You will wake up every morning to a different view outside your window as you
make your way down the rivers of Europe. It is sightseeing in style and offers deluxe accommodation, as well as superb dining and
often includes wine with dinner. River cruising sails into the heart of almost every river destination and docks in the centre of quaint
villages, something that ocean cruises are unable to offer. Food is sourced from local markets offering the freshest menu to create
culinary specialties, thus allowing you to experience regional food and wine. There are no children’s facilities onboard and the
ambience is often very relaxed.
