ITALY
ITALY
From art to food, from stunning and varied countryside to flamboyant fashion, Italy has it all. It boasts one of the most diverse and
beautiful landscapes in Europe, the world’s greatest hoard of art treasures, a mild climate, and most important of all for many, a
delicious and authentic national cuisine. Rome is one of the world’s greatest tourist destinations. With a history spanning more than
28 centuries, it isn’t surprising Romans regard their home as the Eternal City. Venice is one of the most romantic and unique cities
in the world, with its network of canals and bridges, beautiful buildings and gondolas. Florence is the birthplace of the
Renaissance. This beautiful city was Europe’s most important cultural centre between the 14th and 16th centuries. Milan is like no
other Italian city, offering history with spectacular churches and galleries, but also a modern trendy atmosphere with fashion design
and an extensive cuisine scene. Stretching 50km along the southern side of the Sorrentine Peninsula, is the Amalfi Coast, a
postcard vision of Mediterranean beauty. A popular destination is the region of Cinque Terre — an area which refers to five unique
villages that ‘cling’ to the edge of steep cliffs.
