NEI HOU,
HONG KONG!
helloworld Marketing Executive Whitney Towers falls in love
with this vibrant Asian city during a seven-day stay.
I have to say that our trip to Hong Kong began
by breaking all the rules: it is normally seen as a
stopover destination but we decided to spend seven
days there. And I have to say too that fell in love with
Hong Kong.
It showed me a side of Asia that I had not yet
experienced and was a perfect blend of everything
in one: a high-end city with buildings stretching
into the sky, a touch of Mother Nature with lush
green landscapes and local parks offering plenty of
opportunities to try tai chi, plus a vibrant and exotic
local culture. Not to mention that it is one of the
cleanest cities I have ever visited. And there was no
language barrier: most locals speak English and there
are signs in English everywhere.
We flew Cathay Pacific and split our stay between
Kowloon and Hong Kong Island (Central Hong Kong),
but to be honest it is very easy to get between the two
areas using the underground trains, or taxis. Most
hotels also offer free use of a smart phone during your
stay, which is perfect for exploring as you can use the
free data to help navigate your way around or for any
quick Googling that may be required!
