                        CRUISE UPDATE

          CRUISING THE NILE IN STYLE
Explore the ancient history of Egypt in vintage style aboard the
historic steam cruiser, SS Misr, as she sails between Luxor and
Aswan. Originally built by the British Royal Navy in 1918 and later
converted into a luxury Nile steamer for King Farouk, SS Misr is a true
time capsule that rekindles the nostalgia of a golden age with luxury
accommodation and fine cuisine and service. SS Misr offers 16 cabins
and eight suites along with a luxurious bar and lounge, restaurants,
and a large sun deck with a swimming pool.
Cruising from Luxor to Aswan, you can take in the impressive Temple
of Karnak and Temple of Luxor, and visit the Valley of the Kings and
the dramatic Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, with its tree-lined avenue
of sphinxes. In Aswan, see the cult Temple of Horus and the unusual
Temple of Kom Ombo. The cruise ends in Aswan with seeing the
famous High Dam and the Philae Temple which had to be relocated to
make way for the dam. Sightseeing aside, a felucca ride on the Nile,
delicious cuisine and relaxing on board as village life along the Nile
drifts by, make this a great way to cover a lot of ground in Egypt.
SS Misr’s cruise season is from October to February, with cruise
departures from Luxor on Mondays for a five-day / four-night cruise
to Aswan, or on Fridays from Aswan for a four-day / three-night NEW BAROSSA WINE AND HERITAGE TOUR
cruise to Luxor. FOR MURRAY PRINCESS GUESTS
