Head to Karumba and discover the world of Barramundi!
Enjoy views over the saltwater lagoon, showcasing flora
and fauna from the Norman River, before participating
in a special guided tour and Barramundi hand-feeding
experience. The guided tour and feeding will take
you into a brand new hatchery for an educational,
entertaining and engaging experience.
Visit the interactive and state-of-the-art Interpretive
Centre, providing the history, stories, lifecycle and
habits of these sought-after fish. Discover the wetlands
and mangroves and learn about the incredible birdlife
and stunning southern gulf flora. Watch an amazing
short film in the on-site theatre, detailing Barramundi,
the fishing industry and the wonderful community of
Karumba. You will also hear stories from the commercial
fishermen who catch these fish.
