Heron Island is a true coral cay, located right on the Great Barrier Reef. The
island is ribboned by sugar white sands, crystal clear waters and acres of coral
with beautifully coloured marine life. Heron offers many activities exclusive to
resort guests, such as guided island and reef walks, semi-submersible cruises,
scuba diving and snorkelling with more than 20 dive sites available. Heron Kids
Junior Rangers program (7-12 years inclusive) available during Australian Eastern
seaboard school holidays.
(Heron Island operates 1 hour ahead of Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) all year round. There is no
mobile coverage on the island).
How To Get There: 2 hour boat ride or a 30 minute scenic helicopter transfer from Gladstone.

majestic manta ray. The Island lies approximately 80 kilometres north east of
Bundaberg and slightly north of Fraser Island. Lady Elliot Island has an Eco Resort
focused on providing guests with a genuine Ecotourism experience. In season,
guests may see Green and Loggerhead turtles nesting on the beaches, baby turtle
hatchlings, resident manta rays, humpback whales and over 1,500 species of
marine life. Guests can experience world class diving and snorkelling straight off the
beach of the coral cay with an average of 30 metres visibility and a range of free
guided eco tours and activities.
How To Get There: Scenic flight transfer from Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast, Bundaberg,
Brisbane (Redcliffe) and Gold Coast.
