Baccarat, famous for its crystal ware. You will also admire along the way the famous Strasbourg cathedral and the quaint villages
along the ‘Route du Vin’ in Alsace. Don’t miss the charming town of Colmar with its renowned art museum.
Day 1: Paris – Reims – Epernay – Reims (194km) BELGIUM
Visit the world famous region of Champagne celebrated for centuries since Dom
Perignon started to produce this delicious bubbly wine. Explore some of the GERMANY
prestigious “Maisons de Champagne” all offering tasting and cellar visits.
The cathedral Notre Dame is a must to see. See the Chagall Window and the
statue of Joan of Arc. Epernay, the Champagne capital is only a few kilometres LUXEMBOURG
away and offers many “degustations” or Champagne tasting venues. Le Hayre

Day 2: Reims – Verdun – Metz – Strasbourg (358km) Rouen Metz

You will go through Metz, the capital of Lorraine, the beautiful Cathedral in gothic Colmar
style is the most important sight in Metz. You will then reach Strasbourg, the
capital of Alsace. This province torn many times between Germany and France Mullhouse
by successive wars and whose population has suffered heavy losses during
the German occupation. The city has a lot of character and you will notice Dijon
the numerous half-timbered houses all very well kept with flowered balconies.
Strasbourg is the seat of the Council of Europe and of the European Parliament.
Miraculously, the beautiful Cathedral survived the wars and is a magnificent
example of Gothic art. SWITZERLAND

Day 3: Strasbourg – Selestat – Colmar through the “route des vins” (78km)
This is a day where you will be driving on small roads through the vineyards of
Alsace. Take time to absorb the quaint atmosphere of the villages along the way
such as Riquewihr, Ribeauville, Hunawihr, Benwihr. The roads are narrow so drive
slowly and stop often for pictures and wine tasting!
In the picturesque town of Colmar, you will enjoy the museums, the relaxed
atmosphere and the restaurants offering tasty Alsacian specialities.

Day 4: Colmar – Saint Die – Baccarat – Nancy (151km)
Drive through Alsace, Lorraine on the way to Troyes, in the heart of Champagne.
A stop at the Musee du Crystal in Baccarat is a must. Plan a stop for lunch at
Nancy, this elegant town with its magnificent Place Stanislas and gilded wrought
iron gates. On to Troyes, this medieval town full of half timbered houses makes
a picturesque stop. Don’t forget the factory shops in Troyes, you could discover
some real bargains!
