ancient remains with the avant-garde buildings of Valencia.
Day 1: Madrid – Toledo (70km) FRANCE
Depart Madrid and drive southwest towards Toledo. This medieval city, known as Bilbao
the City of Three Cultures has been declared a World Heritage City. Walk through
the winding streets of the Jewish Quarter, visit the Santa Tome Church and don’t BARCELONA
miss the Cathedral or the Alcazar (Fortress). Tarragona

Day 2: Toledo – Cuenca (183km) MADRID Teruel

square, 17th century Convent and a Goya painting in the church. Drive on to Toledo
Cuenca, which lies beside the gorges of two rivers and its historic quarter lies
beside the rocky walls of the Cuenca Mountains. Spend some time exploring the SPAIN Valencia
Cathedral, Hanging Houses and lovely cobbled streets Alicante

Day 3: Cuenca – Teruel – Valencia (288km)

The remote province of Teruel forms part of the Region of Aragon and Spain’s
smallest provincial capital. Occupied by Arabs during the Moor occupation of
Spain, its streets retain much of the stunning architecture of that period. Teruel
and it’s surrounding area is rural Spain at its most impressive – from high majestic
mountains and green lush valleys to enchanting cobbled streets and courtyards
waiting to be explored. Continue on to Valencia.

Day 4: Valencia
Valencia is a harmonious mix of the ages, with ancient remains and modern
avant-garde buildings, in a beautiful setting by the Mediterranean Sea. Explore
the city and discover its Roman past and witness the different centuries of culture
and buildings. Don’t miss the Paella, one of Valencia’s specialities!

Day 5: Valencia – Tarragona (258km)
Barcelona’s senior in Roman times and a lesser medieval city, Tarragona is a
provincial place with some outstanding attractions such as Catalonia’s finest
Roman Ruins, a magnificent medieval cathedral in the pretty Old Town. Also
boasting some great beaches.
Overnight: Tarragona
Day 6: Tarragona – Barcelona (99km)
Your tour ends in Barcelona.
