Day 1 & 2: Istanbul
Arrival transfer & welcome briefing. On Day 2, half-day sightseeing tour
of Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome. In the afternoon, join an optional
Bosphorus cruise and Spice Market tour. (B)
Day 3: Istanbul
Visit St. Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. Join an optional
Turkish dinner and enjoy belly and folk dancing entertainment. (B)
Day 4: Gallipoli & Troy – Assos
Visit Suvla Vineyard & wine cellar. Visit Anzac Cove, the Lone Pine Cemetery &
Chunuk Bair. Cross the Dardanelles to Canakkale to visit Troy. (B, D)
Day 5: Izmir via Pergamum
Drive through the olive forests and stop at an olive museum. Visit an
ethnographical museum in Tahta Kuslar (wooden birds) village. Enjoy lunch
with locals in a traditional local village. The last stop of the day will be the
ancient Medical Center Asclepion in Pergamum. Overnight in Izmir. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Ephesus & St. Mary’s House
Tour the ruins of Ephesus, explore 2,000 year-old marble streets. See St.
Mary’s stone cottage. Visit a regional rug production centre to experience this
unique art form. Join an optional tour of Sirince. (B, D)
Day 7: Izmir – Cappadocia
Depart on an late morning flight to Ankara. Lunch from a local restaurant. Then
visit Anatolian Civilization Museum. Continue to Cappadocia. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Cappadocia
Optional early morning hot air balloon tour, experience floating through
volcanic valleys, fairy chimneys and caves at sunrise. Enjoy breakfast from a
village house. Visit Goreme, an historical region of Turkey, located among the
rock formations, which was first settled, back in the Roman period. Tonight
join an optional Whirling Dervishes performance in an authentic cave setting.
Enjoy dinner from a traditional restaurant. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B D)
Day 9: Cappadocia – Antalya
After breakfast visit underground city Saratli. Proceed to Antalya through
the Taurus Mountains and visit Aspendos, the Roman city at the base of the
mountains and continue to Perge. Enjoy lunch in a casual, traditional village
restaurant. Overnight in Antalya. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Antalya
Relax with a free day on the Mediterranean Coast or join an optional tour to
the Archeological Museum of Antalya combined with a cruise from the old
Roman yacht harbor. Dinner and overnight in Antalya. (B D)
Day 11: Myra – Kalkan
Depart in the morning for Myra. Visit the home church of St. Nicholas and the
ancient city of Myra. Dinner and overnight in Kalkan. (B, D)
Day 12: Kalkan – Fethiye
Drive to Fethiye and visit the Lycian Tombs. Transfer to the Dalaman Airport. (B)

Day 10: Kalkan – Myra – Antalya

In the morning explore Perge and the famous Roman theatre in Aspendos with

Day 12: Antalya – Aspendos – Konya
Visit the famous Roman theatre in Aspendos then continue to Konya. Visit the
mausoleum of the sufi philosopher Mevlana (B, D).
Day 13: Konya – Cappadocia
Journey to Cappadocia and visit 134th century Caravansaray and later visit the
underground city of Saratli. Optional Whirling Dervishes performance. (B, D)
Day 14: Cappadocia
