WETLAND EXPERIENCE
Corroboree Billabong is a part of the Mary River
Wetlands, home to a huge variety of animals, birdlife
and the largest concentration of Saltwater crocodiles in
the world. Depart Darwin and enjoy expert commentary
from your guide as you travel to Fogg Dam. Originally
set up as a large-scale rice growing project in the
1950s, this location is now a haven for many varieties
of birds that you’ll get a chance to admire. A short drive
from here takes you to the Window on the Wetlands
Visitor Centre where you can explore the wetland
displays and enjoy fantastic views over the Adelaide
River floodplains.
From here, travel to the Corroboree Billabong where you
will enjoy an amazing two and a half hour cruise on the
wetlands, viewing an abundance of birds, crocodiles
and wildlife in their natural habitat. The boat design
allows you to get up close to the animals with plenty
of opportunities to take amazing pictures as you cruise KAKADU IN A DAY SCENIC FLIGHT
around this nature lover’s paradise.
Enjoy an epic air and land journey with over two hours
Enjoy a delicious lunch on the wetlands surrounded by of spectacular aerial sightseeing. Pass over Mary River
nature at its best as you get ‘up close and personal’ National Park, as well as the South Alligator River and
with plenty of local wildlife. From here it is just under a Yellow Water. Flying over the Arnhem Land Plateau,
90 minute drive back to your Darwin accommodation. Archway and East Alligator River will also reveal
incredible scenery.
