BEST OF ALICE
Start your full day tour exploring The West Macs,
stopping at Flynn’s Grave Memorial, a tribute to the
founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Travel
to Simpsons Gap and see the towering cliffs and
waterhole. Take a walk to spot black-footed rock
wallabies. Visit Standley Chasm and enjoy the 1.2
kilometre walk to the dramatic 80 meter tall rock face.
Morning tea is at a local café before heading back to
explore the town of Alice Springs.
In the afternoon, tour ‘The Alice’ including the School
of the Air where children who cannot access schools
are educated by radio. Stop at the historic Telegraph
Station, the original site of the first European settlement
in Alice Springs. Visit the Royal Flying Doctors Service
and the Alice Springs Reptile Centre. Lastly, head to
Anzac Hill for panoramic views of the township of Alice
Springs and the MacDonnell Ranges.
