of Fraser Island (K’gari). World Heritage Listed Fraser
Island is the largest sand island in the world and offers
unparalleled natural beauty. Spot the amazing variety of
wildlife in the UNESCO recognised Great Sandy Strait
Biosphere and Fraser Island including dolphins, turtles,
dugongs, birds, whales and dingoes.
Enjoy the tranquillity of a guided kayak tour or experience
exciting watersports on the calm, protected waters of
Hervey Bay. Snorkel or swim in crystal clear waters with
turtles, rays and many fish species. Take in the spectacular
views as you explore the ancient sand dunes or walk
along nine kilometres of secluded, white sandy beaches.
From mid July until the end of October, be on the lookout
for Humpback whales and experience the thrill of getting
up close and personal with these majestic creatures.
