PENINSULA ENCOUNTER TOUR
Enjoy this wildlife tour on the beautiful Otago Peninsula.
Take a glimpse into the world of conservation with
unrivalled viewing of estuarine and marine wildlife.
Visit isolated locations on the Otago Peninsula to
experience unobtrusive viewing of the unique wildlife
that resides there. From a private conservation area, you
will have the opportunity to photograph New Zealand
sea lions, penguins and a breeding colony of New
Zealand fur seals. From the seal colony there is a good
chance of seeing other pelagic birds as they migrate up
and down the coastline. Whales and dolphins can also
be seen at certain times of the year.
From a clifftop location at Taiaroa Head, watch and
observe the magnificent albatross soar majestically
overhead as they go to and from the sea. Other bird
species including mollymawks, shearwaters and petrels
can also be seen from the headland throughout the year.
