If you want to see the highlights of Scotland but only have a few days to do so - then this is the tour for you. In just four days you’ll
discover Scotland’s two great cities Edinburgh & Glasgow, tour the bonny Scottish Highlands, take a cruise on Loch Ness, and
visit a whisky distillery!
Day 1: Glasgow – Oban (156km)
Depart Glasgow. Drive through the Trossachs in the heart of Scotland. Stop at Inverness
Stirling Castle, from the famous movie ‘Braveheart’. Continue around the scenic
Loch Lomond and through the Argyll Forest, one of the most beautiful areas in Loch Ness Royal Deeside
Scotland. Visit Inveraray Castle or Inveraray Jail. Continue north to the Oban area. Fort William
Overnight: Oban SCOTLAND
Day 2: Oban – Fort William – Loch Ness – Inverness (175km)
After breakfast, explore Oban making a visit to McCraigs Tower from where you Perth
can see the island of Mull and beyond on a clear day. Journey north to Fort
William, nestling at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland. Ride Oban St Andrews
the Gondola to enjoy some magnificent views over Scotland. Travel along the
banks of the famous Loch Ness keeping an eye open for the famous monster GLASGOW EDINBURGH
‘Nessie’, before arriving at Inverness.
Overnight: Inverness NORTHERN ENGLAND
IRELAND BELFAST
Day 3: Inverness – Royal Deeside – Perth (230km)
Start your day with a stop at Culloden Moor, site of the very last land battle REPUBLIC
on British soil when the Jacobites were finally defeated by the English Army. OF IRELAND
Continue on to the heart of Speyside and whisky country. With a large number of
whisky distilleries in the area you can visit many of them. Travel down to Braemar, WALES LONDON
in the heart of the Royal Deeside, visit Balmoral Castle, where the Royal Family
spent their annual summer holiday, before arriving in Perth. CARDIFF
Overnight: Perth
Day 4: Perth – St Andrews – Edinburgh (136km)
Today, visit St Andrews, named after Scotland’s patron Saint, before continuing
along the coast via the small fishing village of Elie and Pitenweem. Cross the
Forth Road Bridge with its spectacular views of the Firth of Forth and the newly
awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site, before returning your car to Edinburgh,
where your self-drive tour ends.
