The island of Tanna is most famous for its volcano, Mt Yasur, considered to be the most easily accessible active volcano in the
world. A night tour to the edge of this mighty volcano is an experience you will never forget. The rumbling of the explosions and
the vibrations of the ground can only be described as “awesome”! Best visited at dusk so that you can experience the
transformation that takes place as darkness settles in.

Tanna is also known for its wild horses, coffee plantations, fantastic snorkelling and Custom Villages. Many of Tanna’s inhabitants
adhere closely to the lifestyles of their ancestors maintaining their traditions, customs and ceremonies. Special arrangements can
ensure a visit to a traditional Custom Village where people still dress and live in the traditional ways. Be touched by age-old village
culture and feel the emotion well up as the children sing and give you the local flowers they have picked especially for you.

How to get there: Air Vanuatu flies from Port Vila to Tanna Island daily. The flight takes approximately 35 minutes.
