Your cruise in detail
Cruise to the Land of Fire and Ice
This incredible cruise to Iceland begins in Amsterdam, the Venice of the north. A luxurious day at sea prepares you to transition to a whole other world in Lerwick in the Shetland Islands—home to a unique blend of Scandinavian and Scottish culture. Discover the Faroe Islands, with a stop in the ports of Torshavn and Runavik. This remote fragment of Europe is an archipelago of hilly islands and a self-governing region of Denmark.
Then it’s onto the land of the midnight sun. The first stop is Eskifjordur, a small fishing town named after the fjord it’s next to, then it’s on to Husavik, the whale-watching capital of Iceland. During an overnight stay in Akureyri, marvel at snow-capped mountain peaks, stunning fjords, and lush countryside. Your next destination, Skagafjörður, is the only county in Iceland where horses outnumber people. Next up is the remote and magical Isafjordur, tucked away in the West Fjords of Iceland, a pleasant fishing community. Your legendary journey comes to an end right in Reykjavik with an incredible overnight stay.
Cruise Highlights
Find a fascinating culture in Torshavn, more than your fair share of amazing food and delightfully wild natural edges.
Visit a local restaurant for lunch in Eskifjordur and indulge in the flavors of fresh local seafood.
Discover geothermal springs south of the town of Husavik, the perfect place to relax.
Akureyri’s Botanical Gardens boast 2,000 species of native and non-native plants flourishing without the benefit of a greenhouse.
In Isafjordur, visit the quaint Old Town and enjoy a lively art and music scene.
In Reykjavik, thrilling art, architecture, and gastronomy alongside an old-world charm is sure to capture you. -
