Discover the romantic Highland Cawdor castle, the 14th century home of the Thanes of Cawdor. Experience the castle’s sumptuous interior and carefully manicured grounds which encompass three beautiful gardens, ahead of a relaxing sail along the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness, steeped in myths and legends.

After descending the spectacular series of eight locks at Neptune’s Staircase, enjoy a tasting and tour at Ben Nevis distillery. Established in 1825 and situated at the foot of Britain’s highest mountain, it is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. Following free time in colourful Tobermory to explore the harbour town and indulge in a little retail therapy, go ashore on the sacred isle of Iona to take time to reflect on the influence of the religious colonists who landed here and established a seat of Christianity in 563. Visit the ancestral home of Clan Maclean, Duart Castle, which proudly guards the sea cliffs of Mull and houses family treasures of the past 800 years. A walking tour of Oban takes in the panoramic vistas from McCaig’s Tower at the top of Battery Hill. Built in 1897 by local banker John Stuart McCaig, the aim of the tower was to provide work for local stonemasons and a lasting monument to the McCaig family.
