I booked with Air New Zealand and the process of booking (especially with a Travel Agent) was easy.  Ensuring you are on a greenzone flight then becomes the Agent's responsibility along with sending you out the correct documentation and Health Information that is required to board the aircraft in both directions.  (Travelling is certainly nothing like it used to be).  This is very important as some people were sent away to do this and if you are already late for your flight you could miss out getting on.

At the airport still only half of the shops are open and quite limited if you are wanting to eat prior to boarding as well.  When I travelled there were very few people walking around the immigration side of the airport with masks on,(the choice is yours) however once you get to the gate you are required to put them on before boarding the aircraft.  If you haven’t remembered to bring one or they are at the bottom of your carry on, you will get given one on boarding.  These masks are required to stay on for the duration of the flight unless you are eating or drinking.

I took hand sanitiser with me and used it frequently as some things you are touching are used by everyone i.e. escalators, trolleys, lift buttons etc so make sure you put some in your hand luggage.

Nothing was going to stop me travelling to see my family.  The precautions that are taken by staff and crew of Air New Zealand were second to none.  However, I'm hoping that I can get my inoculation in time to go again as it is just another precaution when it comes to being able to travel in our “new normal”.
