Note: The airline may have partnerships with other airlines and your flight may be operated by another airline. For journeys to/from the U.S., the baggage allowances of the airline that ticketed the first segment of your travel should apply throughout your travel. For travel that does not involve the U.S., you should check with the operating airline for information about their baggage allowances; the other airline's baggage allowances may be more restrictive and you could be charged for extra baggage by the other airline.
Carry-on/Cabin Baggage Allowance
- All carry-on baggage must be stored in the overhead baggage compartment or under the seat.
- A single item of carry-on baggage may not exceed the dimensions 55 x 35 x 25 cm (21.5 x 14 x 10 in)
- Premium Business and Premium Economy: 2 pieces, total weight of 16 kg (33 lb)
- Economy: 1 piece, max 8 kg (16 lb)
- In additional to the carry-on baggage, the following items may be carried on.
- Purse, Laptop, or Diaper bag
- Passengers who exceed their allowance will be required to check their carry-on baggage, and additional checked baggage charges may apply.
Checked Baggage Dimensions
The sum of the length + width + height of the bag should be 158 cm (62 inches) or smaller inclusive of handle, pockets and wheels. The maximum weight is 32 kg (70 lb) per piece.
Sporting Equipment and Musical Instruments
The airline may have specific requirements and fees for transporting sporting equipment and musical instruments. Please check with the airline for limitations, transportation requirements and fee information.
Additional Free Baggage Allowance Information
Children under 2 years of age may carry one piece weighing 23 kg (50 lb) in the aircraft hold. In addition, if there is available space, one of the following special baggage items may be carried in the plane’s cabin:
- A stroller
- A chair
- A bassinet
If there is no space available, this item is transported in the aircraft's hold.
Charges for extra and overweight baggage
Fees for classes and routes with an allowance of two pieces of baggage of 23 kg (50 lb) each
When weight limit is exceeded but number of pieces is respected.
- 0 - 23 kg (50 lb): no excess charge
- 23 - 32 kg (50 - 70 lb): 1 excess charge
- 32 - 45 kg (70 - 99 lb): 2 excess charges (if route allows for more than 32 kg (70 lb))
When number of bags is exceeded:
- 0 - 23 kg (50 lb): 2 excess charges
- 23 - 32 kg (50 -70 lb): 3 excess charges
- 32 - 45 kg (70 - 99 lb): 4 excess charges (if route allows for more than 32 kg (70 lb))
If you exceed both number of pieces and weight allowance, you will be charged for both the exceeded bags and the exceeded weight limits.
Fees for classes and routes with an allowance of two pieces of baggage with combined weight of 23 kg (50 lb)
When the weight limit is exceed but number of pieces is respected:
- 0 - 23 kg (50 lb) total: no excess charges
- 23 - 32 kg (50 - 70 lb) total: 1 excess charge
- 32 - 45 kg (70 - 99 lb) total: 2 excess charges (if route allows for this weight limit)
- 45 - 65 kg (99 - 140 lb) total: 3 excess charges (if route allows for this weight limit)
- 65 - 90 kg (140 - 198 lb) total: 4 excess charges (if route allows for this weight limit)
When number of bags is exceeded:
- Each excess piece: 2 excess charges
If you exceed both number of pieces and weight allowance, you will be charged for both the exceeded bags and the exceeded weight limits.
