Note: The airline may have partnerships with other airlines and your flight may be operated by another airline. For journeys to/from the U.S., the baggage allowances of the airline that ticketed the first segment of your travel should apply throughout your travel. For travel that does not involve the U.S., you should check with the operating airline for information about their baggage allowances; the other airline's baggage allowances may be more restrictive and you could be charged for extra baggage by the other airline.

Checked Baggage Guidelines

Maximum dimension = length + width + height
A single piece of checked baggage should weigh no more than 32kg (70lb). Any bags weighing more than 32kg (70lb) must be broken down so that each piece weighs less than 32kg (70lb).
Excess baggage charges may apply if you exceed the weight and/or piece allowances; contact your local Qatar Airways office for more information;

Carry-on/Cabin Baggage Allowance

Economy Class :passengers are permitted one (1) piece of carry-on baggage, not exceeding 7 kg (15 lb) and dimension of 50 x 37 x 25 cm. (19 x 14 x 9 in).
First Class and Business Class: passengers are permitted two (2) pieces of carry-on baggage, not exceeding 15 kg (33 lb) and dimension of 50 x 37 x 25 cm ( 19 x 14 x 9 in).
Laptops and laptop bags should fit within your hand baggage allowance.

In addition to your hand baggage allowance, you can also carry one personal item such as follows:

Handbag or one small briefcase
Coat, cape or blanket
Crutches or a walking stick
Small camera or binoculars
Limited reading material
An infant's carrying basket
Duty-free items purchased on the day of your flight

Liquids and Gels in Hand Baggage

You may carry liquids, gels, pastes and aerosols in containers up to 100ml (3.4oz) in your hand baggage. Containers larger than 100ml cannot be accepted even if only partly filled. Your containers should be carried in a transparent, resealable, quart- or litre-sized bag no larger than 20x20cm (8x8in). Please ensure all items fit comfortably in the plastic bag.
Airport security will ask you to produce your transparent bag of liquids separately for screening. There are no restrictions on baby foods and medication. However, you may be required to present a prescription for medication you want to take onboard.

Sporting Equipment and Musical Instruments

The airline may have specific requirements and fees for transporting sporting equipment and musical instruments. Please check with the airline for limitations, transportation requirements and fee information.

Privilege Club Baggage Allowance

Silver members: extra baggage allowance of 10 kg on flights marketed by Qatar Airways and flights operated by Qatar Airways¹.
Gold members: extra baggage allowance of 15 kg on flights marketed by Qatar Airways and flights operated by Qatar Airways.
Platinum members: extra baggage allowance of 20 kg, or one piece, on flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways.

¹Privilege Club members’ excess baggage allowances (in kg or piece) are based on Qatar Airways’ baggage policy, applicable only on routes operated by Qatar Airways. Additional 10kg is not applicable on USA/transatlantic routes for Silver members.
