Note: The airline may have partnerships with other airlines and your flight may be operated by another airline. For journeys to/from the U.S., the baggage allowances of the airline that ticketed the first segment of your travel should apply throughout your travel. For travel that does not involve the U.S., you should check with the operating airline for information about their baggage allowances; the other airline's baggage allowances may be more restrictive and you could be charged for extra baggage by the other airline.


Carry-on/Cabin Baggage Allowance

  • For security and comfort reasons, carry-on baggage must comply with dimensions, weight and piece allowances.
  • For securityreasons, some sharp items, which present a cutting edge, are not permitted in the passenger cabin and must be checked.
  • Carriage of liquids and associated products is also restricted. 
  • For infant, only small collapsible strollers are permitted in the passenger cabin.
  • Dimensions allowance must not exceed: 56x45x25cm

Checked Baggage Dimensions

The baggage combined dimensions (length + width + height) must not exceed 158cm.


Sporting Equipment

On flights operated by Aircalin, you are allowed an extra allowance of one 10-kilos baggage item, in addition to your normal baggage allowance, for the following sports equipments:

  • Scuba diving breathing equipment*
  • Golf equipment (a pair of shoes and a bag)
  • Surf, Kitesurf, and Windsurf boards*
  • Bike*
  • Hunting equipment, hunt and sport guns and ammunition*
  • Fishing equipment (2 fishing rods, 1 reel, 1 landing net)
  • Horse riding equipment
  • Water skiing / Snow equipment (1 pair of boots, 1 pair of skis and sticks)
  • Any other sports equipment upon presentation of a sport licence relating to the equipment transported

See that your equipment is well packed and that the addition of the three dimensions of the baggage is less than 3m.


The additional allowance for sports equipment only apply to Aircalin passengers travelling on direct Aircalin-operated flights.


Except on  Fiji and Wallis routes where the additionnal allowance for sport equipment is 10 kg.


If you carry extra luggage from this allowance, excess luggage fees apply.

In case you have excess baggage, the following rates apply. These are valid on flights operated by Aircalin. Different rates apply on flights operated by other airlines.

* Oversized Baggage is not part of the standard allowance.
   Oversized baggage combined dimensions (length + width + height) shall not exceed 300 cm.


If departing from countries where EUR and XPF are not the local currency, the EUR rate shall be used as the reference and the equivalent in the local currency from the departing country shall be applied.
