Hello fellow travel lovers!

My name is Sandy Wilson, a Senior Travel Consultant in the Queenwood store, and I’m pleased to introduce myself to you with my travel journeys.

I have always loved the travel industry and through my travel career, I have had the privilege of travelling to many countries, both for work and pleasure.  

In 2024, my husband and I travelled to the UK and France for 7 weeks.  This is by far my best holiday.  We drove the NC500 which is a self-drive through the Scottish Highlands (definitely recommend a car, not a camper van) including Skye and Oban, then self-drove from Edinburgh to Cornwall via Yorkshire and the upper East Coast of England, Liverpool, Wales and everything in-between.  If you’re looking for a UK adventure, I thoroughly recommend a self-drive holiday. 

In France, we arrived via the Eurostar in Paris.  We stayed in Montmartre and loved this part of the city.  Sights to see are Moulin Rouge and Basilica of the Sacre-Coeur. We also cruised the Seine.  We travelled to Burgundy by car and discovered the many wineries and the surrounding villages of this area.  We also did a 42km bike ride from Beaune to Santenay return in a day and enjoyed the sights of rural France (along with numerous wine tastings in small wineries along the way).  I would also recommend a day or two in Dijon.  Loved this city and what it has to offer.  So much to see and do, the history and food.  We also paid a visit to Claude Monet’s house and garden. It was amazing to see what inspired his paintings and where he lived.

I have also done two cruises – One around the Pacific Islands in the Coral Sea with P&O Cruises and one from Los Angeles to Baja California (including Mexico) with Royal Caribbean.
