Lesley’s Silversea Silver Moon Cruise
30 June 2026, by Carolyn Hedley
Lesley’s Silversea Silver Moon cruise from Seward to Vancouver was one of the most memorable luxury cruises we've experienced. From embarkation to disembarkation, Silversea's renowned service was exceptional, with attentive crew providing warm, personalised service throughout the voyage.
One of the highlights was the innovative S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) programme. The hands-on S.A.L.T. Lab cooking classes allowed us to prepare regional recipes inspired by the destinations we visited, creating a deeper connection with Alaska. Dining onboard was equally impressive, with beautifully presented meals, premium wines, and restaurant-quality cuisine.
The itinerary showcased the very best of Alaska. Scenic cruising at Hubbard Glacier was breathtaking, with towering blue ice and unforgettable views. Our wildlife encounters began before boarding in Anchorage, where we saw brown and black bears, moose, foxes, bison, salmon, bald eagles, whales, and playful sea otters.
Our shore excursions were equally memorable. Riding the White Pass Railway from Skagway offered spectacular mountain scenery and fascinating Gold Rush history, while exploring historic Creek Street in Ketchikan revealed colourful boardwalks, local shops, and Alaskan charm.
Silver Moon perfectly combines luxury, adventure, exceptional cuisine, and unforgettable scenery. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this itinerary to anyone looking for a premium Alaskan cruise experience and would happily sail with Silversea again.
