Affectionately known as the Pearl of the Andaman, Phuket boasts stunning beaches, clear blue seas, world renowned diving sites and nearby islands. Most visitors head to the photogenic and well developed beaches on the west coast. The busiest and biggest, Patong, is known for its nightlife, whereas the quieter areas of Karon, Kata and Kamala are perfect for families. Venture south to Cape Panwa for a more laidback experience or for a total change of pace head north to Sirinat National Park and Khao Phra Thaew reserve.
